Gordon, Brudenell, and Barbara Holmes (of Scotland), survived by her husband, a sister Inez, in Miami, and five grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Mrs. Wadsworth [formerly Eleanor “Bunnie” Leslie, Dedham, Mass] and two brothers, Heber and Wesley, and four sisters, Jessie, Barbara, Ethel, and Eleanor, R.N.. D. In lethbridge, Alberta, recently, the Rev. Oswald R. Lavers. He was born in Georgetown, P.E.l., the son of Mr. & Mrs. George Lavers. A brilliant student, he received the “traveling scholarship” for highest academic standing upon graduation from Queen’s University and did post-graduate work in Chicago. He was a minister of the Presbyterian Church and became United Church after the union of 1925. Besides his sister, Muriel (Mrs. Maclnnis), he leaves two sons. D. At Georgetown, Oct. 10, 1972, Guy Hemphill, aged 77 years. He was born in Burnt Point, the son of the late Captain John Hemphill and Ina McKeeman Hemphill. He is survived by his wife, formerly Alice Baker, of Morel], sons: John (Jackie), Newark, N.J.; Lloyd, Barrie, Ont.; and Roy (at home) and a daughter Marguerite (Mrs. Colin Landry), Lower New Annan, P.E.l.. Also a sister, Ellie (Mrs. Allister Stewart, Georgetown, and a brother, George, in Ontario. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers: Ivan, Lorne, Milton, and Hammond, and sisters: Alice, Carrie, Julia and Ella.
