He was born in Georgetown, Aug. 1, 1909, the youngest son of the late. William and Elizabeth Yorston. He is survived by his wife, Melissa (nee Gould), sons: Charles and Vincent in Roseneath, David at home and daughters: Carol (MacGuigan), Montague, and Judee, Toronto; also by a sister, Anna, Mrs. Lyman Jay, Charlottetown and brothers Roland in Lakeland, Fla. and Bert in Mass..; also 10 grandchildren. He taught school as a young man and latterly conducted a grocery business in Georgetown. He leaves to mourn an elder brother, Percy Edward, of Dartmouth, N.S. & Florida. D. At the Wood Convalescent and Nursing Home, Charlottetown on Jan. 15, 1974, Miss Effie Ethel Renton, of Georgetown, P.E.I., aged 83 years. She was the youngest child on the late Alexander Renton and his wife, Mary MacInnis, of Georgetown. She worked for some years as secretary at the Experimental Farm, Charlottetown, and was an appreciated member of St. David’s United (Georgetown) and Trinity United (Charlottetown) church choirs. Base, Petawawa, Ont; Donnie, Charlottetown and Bruce, Tracadie Cross, RBI, and by one grandchild. He is survived also by three sisters: Carrie (Mrs. Charles Gratto).; Pearl (Mrs. Stewart MacKillop, both of New Glasgow, N.S.), and Drinda (Mrs. Fred Chandler) of Charlottetown.
