He was pastor emeritus of the Immaculate Conception Church, Winnipeg, and had served for 45 years in the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, serving many positions including ecumenical work. He was the founder of St. Peter 's Mission, Winnipeg. He is survived by his sister, Sister Mae Fitzgerald S.O.S ., Newfoundland , and other relatives including a nephew, James, in Calgary. Since returning to Georgetown he worked with Seafoods. He was active in community affairs and was founder of the Georgetown Lions' Club.
