He was born in Georgetown, the son of John Murphy and Catherine Smith, and was employed on the C.N.R. maintenance crew for 38 years. He leaves to mourn beside his wife, the former [aura Mooney, Louise (Mrs. C.B. Lundin), Texas; Helen (Mrs. Guy Smith), Toronto; Amold, William, Gerald, Ray, Mark, all of Toronto; Earl, of Kensington, P.E.l.. Also survivingareabrother Patrick, Georgetown, and a sister, Annie (Mrs. Archie White, Georgetown. and 23 grandchildren A brother John J. predeceased him in January. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. James Church Building Fund. Pallbearers were the six sons of the deceased. Revs. Floyd McGaugh and Howard Wight officiated. D. At Fortune, P.E.I., recently, Sheldon E Ross, son of the late Peter Ross and Anetta (Johnston) Ross of Georgetown, P.E.I., aged 55 years. He served with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders in World War 11 and after the war made his career in the army for 29 years. Surviving are his wife, Elsie (Heam), and six sons: Duane in Newfoundland; Peter, Saint John; Kevin and David, both at Lower Sackville, N.S.; Aaron and Cameron at home. Also left to mourn are three sisters and a brother: Mrs. Myrtle Babineau, Charlottetown; Hla (Mrs. David Lavers), Georgetown; Eleanor (Mrs. James Llewellyn, Georgetown; and Oliver of Dunstaffnage, P.E.I., Funeral from the Georgetown Baptist Church, Rev. D. “At the King’s County Memorial Hospital, on Dec. 30, 1975, Rev. Dr. H. Lincoln MacKenzie of Cardigan, P.E.I. He was born in Mitchell River on July 19, 1893, the son of Daniel Duncan MacKenzie and Mary Ann MacDonald and was a graduate in ministry from Bangor Theological Seminary, Bangor, Me. His Ph.D was from Brown University and he also received a DD. He served Congregational Churches in New England and New York, as a naval pilot and as chaplain in the South Pacific in the Second World War. Five of his books were published. In retirement he was instrumental in the construction of Cardigan Consolidated School and initiated a class for retarded children. He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine Munroe, of Lyndale P.E.l. and a sister Mrs. Elva MacGregor, Cardigan. Three brothers and four sisters predeceased him.
