The Cruel Sea
The sea is a mystery while watching the waves
Crashing near the rocks, with such strength and strong sprays. Out in the deeps, the ships dip and dive,
A rough sailing venture, until there’s a change in the tide. Then there are the sea captains, those brave men in the cold, Risking their lives on ships that were old,
Some not seaworthy, they sailed the high seas,
Making a living for family was dangerous indeed.
They returned to dry land, when their toil was done,
While some did not make it, the cruel sea had won.
