Robert Dyer, an Anglican clergy, that the burials took place. The little Mission church built there by Episcopalians, Baptist, Methodists and Presbyterians was opened on January 28, 1860. Rev. Dyer, according to his records named it the ”OMNIBUS” meaning all would be one. The land for the little church and graveyard was given by the Myrick family, for the opening of the

first Protestant church in the western area. It was through journals kept by Rev Dryer during his fifty-nine

years as an Anglican Clergy in the western part of Prince Edward Island, that an early part of . Church history ll came to light. His journals tell of his travels on foot, snowshoes, boat, sleigh, and on horseback. He tells of holding prayer meetings and Sunday serv— ices in homes, halls, schoolhouses and wherever there was an

opportunity to give the Gospel message. His writings tell of his presence at the blessing of St Simon and
