In the horse and sleigh in the winter we would go, off to Grandma’s through those big banks of snow. Grandma would have a wild goose dinner for all, and we loved to hear that dinner call. Uncle Fred would go to the big deep well, and bring in cold milk we loved so well. When we got noisy he would say, ”go to the well, it’s a good place to play.” Uncle Fred was indeed one of a kind, who left us a treasure of funny sayings behind. Now that we are older we often laugh about all those sayings so many years past. Loving memories of Grandma linger on, her faith and her courage is what kept her strong. She never let discourage- ment get her down, and now she’s in heaven wearing a golden crown.
