Stewart MacDonald , M.D. died 20 minutes after arriving at the Victoria General Hospital. The pathologist said she died with pneumonia in one lobe of a lung, like that of the old flu. About the same time a woman arrived at the hospital. She looked so sick I decided to order an electrocardiogram, but be¬ fore it was finished she was dead. Another patient, a young boy, was in school in the morning and died by 11 o'clock that evening. All these deaths were from the old flu. It taught me that life could depart very quickly. The house Kenny Ferguson lived in was an old store and a post office. The cellar used to fill with water in the spring, with the rush of water along the road for over a mile. John Stewart bought the farm, but died soon after, and it was later sold to Neil MacNeill . m#*aJ.< Lemmie Maclean 's house, now owned by his son Malcolm and Malcolm's wife Betty t i 66
