Stewart MacDonald, M.D.

called. It was Willie. He was a big, good looking fellow and I would not have wanted to defend myself against him. I was the only one he could remember from Little Sands. After all the years, I was glad to meet him again and we had a good chat.

Joe was a good farmer and fisherman, and was a good provider for his family. When he was sober, one could not meet a nicer man. He also had a threshing mill and worked with the neighbours.

Harold MacLean bought Joe's farm, which Neil Mac- Neill later owned. Harold was a brother of Lemmie MacLean. He was a good farmer and also fished. I re- member one year there were practically no lobsters to be found. Harold said he was lucky if he could catch enough to pay for his boats.

Harold was quite tall and he was married to Angus Stewart’s sister from High Bank. They seemed to be the ideal couple. I have never heard a bad comment of Harold MacLean and he should long be remembered for

his pleasant manner.
