Duncan Blue

cross Blue’s Road lived Duncan Blue, on a farm Ahat must have been the old home of the Blue

amily. I was never told of any of his ancestors. Duncan Blue was married twice. He had a boy and two girls.

Mac was Duncan Blue’s son by his first marriage. Be- fore I went to Little Sands school, Mac was quite the sport and owned the race horse, Kitchener, which won all the races on the ice. I later bought his driving sleigh which was very modem for that time.

Duncan got married the second time to Carrie Stew— art, whose husband had been drowned at Pictou Island when their children were quite young.

Mac left Little Sands and went to British Columbia, where he owned a successful dairy farm not far from Vancouver. My father used to visit him there. Although he is long forgotten in Little Sands, he was one of the most popular young men in the area not so many years ago.
