“High Bank”
“Ivan's Cove” Ivan Anderson used to fish here. Oral History relays that the hole left after the Turret Bell was finally removed in 1909, was a great place to
catch Lobster. Ivan knew where this hole was located and frequently fished there.
“Doug’s Cove ” also known as “Under the Boats ”
Doug Sanderson fished here. The post card of the lap boats was taken in Doug’s Cove.
“The Crick” At least ten to twelve boats fished out of the Crick.
“MacIntyre’s Cove "
Many boats fished out of there. The Irish moss Scales were located here at one time.
“Dalavy” This cove was located just east of Noel MacDonald’s residence. There was also a lobster factory here.
“The Skunk House” There were many shanties and buildings here at one time. Many men fished out of here. The fishermen actually fished just to the east of the
Skunk House, as that is where there was a sandy bottom. To the west of the Skunk House was rocky.
