St. Peters Bay Rink Young People of St. Peters 1912
There's great demand in this wide world For men with snap and go
For here in St. Peters
That‘s the kind we always grow.
‘Tho the village is not very large There's lots of good men in it For when the rink was spoken of There were fifty to begin with.
There’s Cliff MacEwen, Chester Pratt Frank Gillis and his brother
Besides the three Maclnnis boys More Macs than any other.
You all know Lloyd MacEwen well He’s the brother of the teacher He is at his best while waiting on Some dainty little creature.
There‘s George Maclnnis, John North Side,
John Anthony besides, With Ray and Frank MacAuley, Both seeking fair young brides.
There‘s Russell Davison A very important gent Dynamic and Mechanic With a congeniality bent.
He has the education
To run the whole shebang
He’ll do his best. he’ll stand the teat In any situation.
Professor Willie Anderson
On whom we all depend
His namesake Lloyd, who you will find The dances all attend
The colors of this rink of ours Have not yet been seen
But Chester Pratt proposes They be bright Olive Green.
Insurance of this dandy rink
I don't think we'll require
For Russ MacLaren will be there To put out any fire.
Our treasurer is Chester Pratt
He’s accurate and cunning
He has the know how and the knack For handling other people’s money.
The school close by is doing well The scholars are advancing
But strange to say this all occurred Since Louis started dancing.
He used to be a quiet lad
So shy and unpretending
But Lloyd got after him at home Now Louis’ ways are mending.
Bonn O'Hanley he’s on hand When there‘s any work to do His jolly brother Alex makes Another of our crew.
Now darn it all boys, don't give up We’ll have the rink we will
For Norbert will be close at hand With his engineering skill.
He’s giving us the land to use He says it won’t be hurt He's such a free and easy lad He'd offer you his shirt.
