Despite many setbacks and hardships of the early history of the parish, the people of the parish of St. Mary's persevered in their faith, coming together time and time again as a congregation to ensure their members had a place to worship, allowing them to celebrate their religious beliefs and practices, and instill a strong awareness of their Christian ideology within the parish. We, the members of the committee, came together to detail the storied history of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. In celebration of the 100th anniversary (1901-2001) of the church, we undertook the challenge to relay special events and happenings that influenced the church itself, as well as the parish, as a people. We have tried to ensure that the facts presented are accurate and true, however, some discrepancies may arise due to poor recording during the earlier years. We apologize for any errors or omissions within this report; any questions and/or concerns should be directed to one of the committee members listed below.
