Other Bible Christian ministers in Bideford were: Rev. Henry Newcombe, 1871; Rev. J.H. Collins, 1872; Rev. EA. Tonkin, 1873; and Rev. W. Medland, 1875.
On October 4, 1881 a Conveyance Of Church Property was made from representatives Of the Bible Christian Church to the Trustees of the Methodist Church in Bideford. The Bible Christians on Prince Edward Island joined the Methodist Church Of Canada in 1884.
The Methodist Church in Bideford was organized in 1875 with the first minister being Rev. Frederick Freeman, 1875—76.
In 1888 it was decided to build a new church and sell the former one. Edward England built the new church with the windows crafted by Daniel Hutchinson. It was dedicated on October 5, 1890.
On June 10, 1925, the United Church of Canada was constituted at Toronto, Ontario, when consenting members Of the Presbyterian Church in Canada united with Congregational Churches Of Canada and the Methodist Church of Canada. The Methodist Church in Bideford. dedi— cated in 1890, is now the Bideford United Church. Sheathing and other renovations were done in 1951. Extensive renovations were done in 1996—97. The Bideford Pastoral Charge of the United Church of Canada included the congregations of Bideford,Tyne Valley and Conway. In 1952, Lot 14 also became part Of the Bideford Charge.

In 1884 the Trustees of the Methodist Church in Bideford purchased the residence of Thomas H. and Susan Pope to be used for their parsonage. It is shown in Meecham’s 1880 Atlas as the residence of TH. Pope. It is believed that it was built about 1878.
Many couples pledged their wedding vows in the Bideford Parsonage. Shrieve Millar and Priscilla Williams were married there on Wednesday, November 5, 1902 by The Rev. A.E. Chapman. The Rev. John A.
