In 1995 Yves became manager of a drug store in Montreal . He then became the medical representative for Upjohn Co. in 1956-57. In 1957 Yves acquired his own pharmacy in Gatineau P.Q ., where he practiced his profession for the next twenty one years. During this time he was also a pharmacist at a hospital in Hull, P.Q. He retired completely in the year 2000 at the age of seventy years. Yves married Pauline Proulx they became the parents of three children: Chantale, is a french teacher in Ottawa, Marie France, is an artist and art teacher in Gatineau , Yves Jr., is deceased. While at Yves was recognized as an excellent athlete who was involved in a wide variety of sports; principally as a skier and hockey player in winter, and as a sailor and tennis player in summer. He has continued his interest in sports and has been involved in golf, tennis, skiing, hunting and fishing for the past fifty years. He ascribes this continued involvement in sports as one of the reasons that his health continues to be excellent as he enters his retirement years. Yves says: "For me SDU has been a paradise after the years at St. Joseph Seminaire du Trois Rivieres. I enjoyed every moment of it even the supplementary month of holiday the 'Bear" gave me after Christmas. Graduation day is an unforgettable souvenir."
