University of Toronto, graduating in 1964. His work life has been a mix of employment related to engineering, metallurgy, and later, patent expertise in those fields.

Paul married in 1954 and has divorced and remarried. He has seven children. The oldest is a girl who married in France and lives in Paris. The second oldest, also a girl, works for Air Canada and currently lives in Halifax. He has two sons; one of whom lives in Montreal, the other lives in Quebec City. Two younger daughters have followed their father’s present occupational bent and work in the patent business in the Province of Quebec.

Paul has long been interested in politics and usually worked in the back rooms but in 1970 ran for the P.Q. Party in the Levis riding. He was defeated but his interest in politics continued and he currently works to support the new Premier, Mr. Landry. He worked in the United States between 1965 and 1968 both in Chicago and New Jersey and returned to Quebec after he became aware of Charles DeGaule’s call for the liberation of Quebec. While working in the US he had the opportunity to travel to many parts of Europe on buisness and he enjoyed this aspect of his work tremendously.

When he returned to Canada, Paul began his political involvement with the PQ Party which led to some industrial engineering opportunities. These occupied much of his time for the next ten years. He became a consultant to small industrial inventors and Paul founded the Association of inventors in Quebec. For the past ten years he has been mainly involved in the patent process for engineers and inventors helping them to go through the intricate activity in applying for and securing patents. He is quite busy in this work at the present time.

Paul says he remembers the activities on campus at St. Dunstan’s and the many night he and friends were able to slip away to Charlottetown. He thoroughly enjoyed the dances in Town where there was an opportunity to meet some of the local girls and visit in their homes. He learned a lot about Island culture from these visits and treasures the memories of the people he met.
