In 1955 Wildor married Jeannine Tardif and they have one son Serge who completed his B.C. at McGill and B.LL, LL. at Laval, Que. Serge is now a practicing lawyer in Matane, Que.

Wildor’s enjoyment of his work is obvious from his comments about his chiropractic experience: “(I enjoy) every day meeting my patients and comforting them for the last 42 years”. As for volunteer experience, Wildor has for the past ten years been a member of the Canadian Auxiliary Coast Guard (Laurentides) and Commodore of the local marina for ten years. His boat, a 25 footer, seems to get a lot of use by this hockey playing mariner.

Playing hockey for St. Dunstan’s is the most memorable recollection for Wildor, especially the defeat of St. Francis Xavier by the St. Dunstan’s team to claim the Maritime Intercollegiate Hockey Championship in 1947. His memories of his teammates of those years; Cart MacDonald, Reg Rogers, Bill Ledwell, Joe Mahar, Mike Hennessey, Kiker McIsaac, Shorty McKinnon, Des Burge, Jim Ayers, and all the others is bright and clear.

In 1973 Wildor visited St. Dunstan’s campus with his young son, who is now 40 years old, and a lawyer in Matane. The world of the “rink” figures significantly in the lives of his grandchilrdren, with 10 year old grandson Jean-Francois, a hockey player and seven year old granddaughter Andreane, a speed skater.

Wildor says he practices his profession full time and he thinks he will retire over his dead body, which at times, he says, looks like it. He adds with

a chuckle: I work at this stage for the benefit of my science.”
