Henry was born on the 25‘h of March, 1930, the first of three children of Henri Marquis and Therese Amirault. He attended Saint John The Baptist and St. Patrick Elementary Schools in Saint John, NE. and St. Vincent’s High School also in Saint John. He attended St. Dunstan’s University where he graduated with a BA. in 1951. He then attended the University of New Brunswick where he received his B.C.L. in 1954.

In June 1954 Henry was admitted to the Bar in New Brunswick and practiced law in that Province for forty one years, retiring in 1995 as a Senior Partner in Gorman, Nason Law F irm. He practiced mainly as a Solicitor with a specialty in Wills, Estates and Trusts.

In 1989 Henry was appointed Queen’s Counsel.
