Ottawa, ON K 1 V 6 M 8 Phone: (613) 731-6036 Fax: (613) 731-9356 Andy was born the fourth of four children of Harold Redmond and Mary Rice on the eighteenth of August 1931. He attended Elementary school at Corraville, P.E.I , and High School at Cardigan and High School. He completed his BA. at St. Dunstan's , a BED. at the University of Montreal, and a M.E.D . at St. Michael's in Vermont , USA. He began his teaching career at Canadian Forces Language School, St. Jean, Quebec . He then began work from 1964 to 1980 with the Federal Government's Language Training Program as Teacher, Trainer, Curriculum Specialist and Policy Development Officer in both official languages. From 1980 to 1990 he worked as a Developer of Employment Counselling Tools with Employment and Immigration. From 1990 to the present he is employed part time as Trainer and Employment Consultant with YMCA- YWCA and other Institutions across Canada who are retraining their staff. As to the question of children; Andy reports that Revenue Canada staff do not agree that his Lhasa Apso and Himalayans qualify as his dependents. Andy states that the most satisfying work experience has been the teaching of adults, training and supervising teachers and working with groups. Since his work required a lot of travel he was able to visit the main centers in every province as well as cities in the U.S. He believes his most valuable contribution to the world of work was his co-founding and training
