Joe was born January, 1 1th, 1930, the second in a family of eight children to Damien Shreenan and Alice Sherry. He attended elementary School in Kinkora, P.E.l., high School in Kinkora and St. Dunstan’s, and received a B.Comm at St. Dunstan’s in 1951. He was a member of the first class to graduate from St. Dunstan’s with a Commerce

Degree.

Joe worked for Northern Electric (NEDCO) from 1951 to 1972,and with Gough Electric from 1972 t01984. During his 21 years at Northern Electric, Joe spent sixteen year at Lachine, Quebec. There he was involved in the various forms of cost accounting until 1968 when he went to Calgary. In the Sales Division for the company, Joe spent 2 years in Calgary and then moved to Cranbrook, B.C. as Resident Salesman, where he remained for a year. Then, it was on to Edmonton for a year before joining Gough Electric.
