33. LeRoy
On July 14, 1936 Margurita gave birth to a baby boy. Mary Anne had helped with the delivery. Alphy and Margurita looked at their beautiful son. They would name him LeRoy. Alphy was very relieved to know that the baby was healthy and strong, and that Margurita was doing fine.
LeRoy was long and slender, and he had a strong cry Margurita looked tenderly at him, “He is perfect,” she thought.
LeRoy would grow up to have a quiet, kind personality, and somewhat shy disposition. He would also inherit his father’s keer interest in machinery and carpentry skills. He would learn a lot front his father, but Alphy would also learn from him - the role of a
father.
LeRoy learned early in life how to be responsible and woulc’. often look out for his younger siblings. He also learned obedience. pride in work, and trust in God.
As LeRoy got older, Alphy also realized that he had learnec from his son ‘not to sweat the small stuff. He realized that his: expectations of LeRoy had sometimes been too high, and he woulc” try to make changes with the younger children.
