Foreword Church, and of Presbyterianism in Summerside, is published to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Presbyterian worship services in Summerside. A committee to plan for this anniversary, the Celebrate 150 Committee, was established in January 2003. When the congregation was surveyed later that month, the writing of a church history ranked prominently among the suggested ways to celebrate this milestone in the life of the congregation. Each committee member had unique strengths and gifts which contributed to this story of the founding and growth of our church in Summerside. Through their research and writing they have revealed the dedication and faithfulness of our church family. Our committee is indebted to Ada (Ramsay) MacLeod and Jean MacFadyen for their research and writing pertaining to our church’s history. We are This short history of Summerside Presbyterian
