TO GOD BE THE GLORY

services were conducted in a twelve foot square private dwelling which was located directly in front of the Russ Hotel on Central Street where the original Prince County Hospital would be situated in 1912. The site is now occupied by Summerside Cooperative Limited.

The next place of worship was at the new Western School building, built in late 1853 or early 1854. It was located on the southeast corner of Duke and Second Streets and was later known as “the Webber Building.” Presbyterians and Methodists both worshipped in the building. Reverends Robert S. Patterson and John MacLeod continued to preach there on alternate Sabbaths.
