The first half of the Twentieth Century had been a difficult period for Summerside Presbyterian Church. From 1901 to 1949 membership size had dropped from 315 to 240 communicants — a 24% decline! Despite the setback the church had survived. The next fifty years would witness new growth and prosperity.
