"Fell asleep in Jesus on April 13th, 1908 Captain James Wyatt an aged and highly respected resident of Marshfield ... though ailing for sometime was not thought to be seriously ill and passed peacefully away, aged 75 years... He took great interest in the Navy and was Captain of the 1st Royal Thistle Company of PEL.."
