1812; d. Feb. 15, 1858; m. Duncan Ferguson March 25, 1840. Duncan and Ann lived on the property that became William Scotts. (See Properties and People S13 & S14). After Ann’s death Duncan released the property to William and moved to Greek River. Their wedding is mentioned in the David Ross Diary. Children:

ii Jessie Blanche Stewart b. Jan. 22, 1845; d. May 29, 1927; m. David Carr, Oct. 18, 1881, West Covehead. This couple had seven children, family recorded in the “Sands of Time” history of Stanhope and area. Jane Stewart b. Oct. 16, 1847; d. Oct. 5, 1897.

vii Peter Alexander Stewart b. Sept. 27, 1855; d. Feb. 8, 1939. Peter Alexander took over the operation of his father’s mill on the Kilkenny Road, Lot 33. Peter Stewart along with James Fraser were the last two people to be buried in the Marshfield Pioneer Cem.
