November 1 - Heard from Donald that Vickerson and tribe are reporting that Binns and the whole had been bribed at pig trial.
November 16 - Embanking house.
November 18 - Making floor in lean-to. Donald killed a cow - brought us 3/4 — 166 lbs. price of beef in town l 95. Sent up Donald’s boy to Mill 2 B 1 p wheat from mill ...... lbs. flour and bran.
November 24 - Hauling sea weed — hard frost.
December 4 - Engaged making house and barn tight.
December 22 - Washed bushel wheat - went to mill with it. In town for necessaries with sleigh - people crossing on ice on foot for first time this winter.
December 24 — At Charlottetown summoned again before Supreme Court about Pig.

January 6 — Donald down and helped to take in stack of oats and hauled the wood which was cut
on the 6th.
January 13 - Donald down cutting large birch and back logs in point.
Janua_ry l4 — Man whipped in town for stealing heifer.
January 31 — McR. in town for tobacco - gave sisters a drive in and out - most delightful day.
March 1 — McR. with Donald in town for necessaries by ice.
March 16 - Went up the river for longers. We hauled out of woods 4 loads. Donald assisted us to load and unload on ice while he was hauling out his own - we brought down 40 in the evening.

March 1 Z - Went up for longers, brought home 60. March 18 - Brought home 80.
March 19 - Brought home 60.
March 21 - Up again this day assisted by Archie McGregor and brought among us three sleighs 240.
Mareh 26 - In town with sisters at church upon ice — not considered safe.
March 27 - Hauling longers from boat to middle of field.
April 2 - Measured our potatoes remaining at this date - result 43 96 bushels.
April 3 - Channel of river all open in front of farm this morning - no one travelling on it today or for some days back.
April 19 — Goose set this day with 8 eggs.
April 16 - McR. in town for letters from Halifax, on horseback.
April 18 — Hawk carried off another hen. Peter Fergusson drowned in Wright’s brook some days ago. Buried last Saturday.
May 12 - Young geese appeared out of 8 eggs set.
May 21 - Strawberries in blossom. Muskittas [sic] began to buzz — d-—m ‘em.
May 3Q - Pig killed by Archie [McGregor] as chief executioner, myself assistant. Horrid job.
June 14 — Launched the “Oscar” this morning at five. Sailed in evening for codfish. Anchored all night at C. Wharf.
Jule—15 - Sailed Point Prim. Fished Thurs., Fri., Sat. Came home at 10 evening. Not very successful about codfish.
July 1 — Hunting after the cows in backwoods.
M - Went to town to attend Pig case — Lane and Pladwell told d--n lie — case against us 4 pounds
