Marshfield as I Remember from 1860 As the writer is the seventh son and the last surviving one of the Alexander Robertson Family , it may not be considered out of place to give in detail the members of the family. Alexander Robertson married Margaret Fergusson . Their children are: Isabella who died in 1858 after learning the printing and book binding with James D. Haszard of Charlottetown . Walter B. had one son and three daughters. Robert Fergus who died 1858 young. I can't make this complete without including in this group Mary Lawrie , a dear adopted sister who my dear parents added to our family when some 20 months old. She was a daughter of Mr. Thomas Lawrie of McCandles Wharf, and whose wife died leaving him with a large family of small children and must mention the great joy and curiosity it caused in the house as the writer was the youngest living at the time, we had to resurrect the cradle, little chair and toys from the attic and thought it our greatest pleasure to give her affection. Her name was known as Mary but we changed it to Minnie. Minnie remained under our roof for some 18 years and was a great source of pleasure to our dear Mother who in her old age received every respect and affection from her. She is at present time residing in Franklin, Mass. , a Mrs. Fisher , a widow with one daughter. Mrs. Fisher occupies a warm place in the hearts of the people and it is not to be wondered at as she is a lady of sterling character.
