Marshfield as I Remember from 1860 a residence for the time being. They were and exceptional fine family and headed the Marshfield school and were general favourites. They had an adopted son Angus who did a mercantile business in P. Walkers old stand under the style of McCormack and May Charlottetown . They disposed of their farm to Alexander Robertson when his son Alex (Sandy), as he was called locally, had married first Emma Vickerson and second Sarah Vanlderstine . Mr. McCormick 's family removed to Cardigan . This property is now owned by Wallace Wood & son and is among one of the best. Peter Stewart "Tullock". Peter was a bachelor, his brother Charles and sister lived with him. They could hardly be called farmers none of them were fond of work. Donald Fergusson of Craggan bought this property and settled there. He was an extensive apple grower and imported some fine sheep and pale Angus cattle and was an excellent farmer. Entered politics after a hard battle being elected for the Cardigan District by acclamation on the death of Robert Shaw their representative. He was prominent in the Sullivan administration and afterwards was appointed Senator . Previous to his death he disposed of the greater portion of Tullock Farm to Henry Boswell . Mr. Boswell later bought the Tullock homestead and he and his son now reside there. Neil Stewart East River (shore) was a brother of John Stewart Sr. of Five Mile House . He married a Miss Scott a sister of Alex and John Scott of French Fort . The family consisted of three daughters and five sons: Jane, spinster. Ann, Mrs. Alex McBeth . Elizabeth, Mrs. Harry Banns . John a carriage builder. Peter a bachelor. Benjamin a farmer. Daniel a farmer. William of Crables Hardware Store . This property has changed hands a couple of times and is now occupied by Mr. Harry Scott . Mr. Peter H. Stewart bought a part of this property and erected a comfortable dwelling. Harry Binns was a capitalist of Charlottetown , son of John Binns attorney, owned a strip of land adjoining the Neil Stewart property, afterwards he and his father bought the adjoining farm which they named " Binstead ". Harry Binns married Elizabeth, daughter of Neil Stewart and raised a family. This farm was formerly owned by C.E. Fellows and at his death one Mr. Montgomery , a sport, came into possession of it and he principally occupied his time shooting and fishing and he disposed of it to Mr. Binns who sold it to Mr. Heartz . Mr. Edgar Heartz lives on the right of the old homestead and his sons have built beautiful homes for themselves. Peter Stewart (carpenter) his residence was where the Grant property is now ( Mr. Barlow now resides on this property) Stewart married Isabella McDonald they had family, one daughter Flora, Mrs. William Wright , Brighton . As a scholar she never attended Marshfield school. Adjoining Stewart farm John Longworth owned land on which Edward (Teddy) Chappell built a comfortable house.
