After Neil Stewart’s death the property was left to his son Peter Stewart. A portion was sold to Duncan Darrach.
In 1930 Duncan’s nephew Harry Bigelow Scott of Cornwall purchased 139% acres of this property bordering on the river. Harry was a descendant of emigrants from Perthshire who arrived on PEI circa 1800.
When Harry was a child, his father died, so he and his mother lived together on a farm in Cornwall. As a young man Harry joined the Harvest Excursion (an event where young men from the Maritimes went to western Canada during the late summer to help harvest and thresh the wheat crop). Later Harry moved to Boston and became a trolley-car driver. While in Boston, he married Margaret Belle MacDonald, another Islander.
Harry and Margaret had two children in Boston, Laura Belle and Lorne Archibald before returning to PEI around 1916. Two more children, Helen and Mabel Pauline, were born after the move to the Island. Margaret died suddenly in 1921 from pneumonia. Harry married again to Mary Aletha MacLean and they had one daughter, Mary. Mary unfortunately died soon after giving birth. Eventually Harry married for a third time later in life to Catherine MacLean.
Lorne Scott, like his father, was an only son. He farmed in Marshfield all his life and was a noted hockey player with the Marshfield Maple Leafs in the late 1930’s (see Tales and Items of Interest, Hockey Night in Marshfield). He married Marion Elizabeth MacNaughton from Winsloe in 1935 and they had the following children: Margaret Louise, Lloyd George (deceased), Ralph Lorne,

Shirley Marion (Doyle), Shelia Elizabeth (deceased) and Wayne Harry. Lorne, Marion and their children were faithful members of St. Columba Presbyterian Church and Marion was a dedicated member of the Women’s Institute.
Margaret married Frank Gottwald and after raising a family in Toronto they retired to Marshfield where they built a home on a lot that was once part of her father’s farm.
The portion closest to the St. Peters Road was retained by the Stewart family until the early 1930’s when Neil Stewart’s grandson Peter and his wife Laura sold 68 acres to Herb and Emily (Wyatt) Nelson. Eventually in 1946 the Nelsons sold to Eric and Dorothy MacCallum.
Eric MacCallum of Brackley Beach, a veteran of WW II, was married to Dorothy MacCallum, sister of Ray, Wendell and Lloyd (see chapter Dr. Alexander Henry Boswall and Family). Their family included: Roger, Grant, James, Alan, Shirley and Blair (deceased).
Alan, who married Linda Swan, raises beef cattle and operates a septic service business started by his late brother Blair. A large portion of this property is still owned by Alan and Linda MacCallum. Their children are: Addie, Stephen, Jason and Tonya.
Also ownng property located within the historic boundaries of this property, along the MacCallum Road, Lower Settlement Road and the private road which runs to the shore from the west end of the Lower Settlement Road and not already mentioned are the following: Dorothy MacCallum, James MacCallum, Stephen MacDonald, Paul & Velda O’Brian, Harvey W. & Barbara A.
