THE FIVE MILE HOUSE FARM (S2)
This property of 43% acres is located on the southeast corner of the St. Peters Road and the MacCallum Road. The first recorded settler was Laughlin MacIssac who held the lease until 1808 when Peter Stewart Sr. acquired it.
John Stewart, who married Flora Cameron in 1828, took over the lease from his father Peter Stewart Sr. (see Peter Stewart and Descendants, Five Mile House Stewarts).
John passed the property onto his son John (Jack) Stewart who married Annie Puncher. They in turn passed the property onto two of their sons Robert Bruce and Lawrence, better known as Bruce and Larry.
Bruce and Larry remained bachelors all their lives. Upon their death the property was left to

their nephew Lloyd George Webster. George was the son of Bruce and Larry’s youngest sister, Annie Blanche, who married Clifford Edmund Webster.
