#1 GEORGIE ELLIS

1946 transferred fiom Leland Ellis to Harry and Georgie Ellis

Harry Ellis married Georgie MacArthur, daughter of Burns and Jennie (MacKinnon) MacArthur of Enmore in 1941.

Harry served as a Sergeant from l941-l945 across Canada and overseas.

They built the house in 1947, it was torn down recently because it was too close to the roads. Following the war, Harry was a transport driver at CFB Summerside and Georgie operated the store that was built on to the front part of the house. The store opened in 1948 and closed in

1959. Harry passed away in 1984. Georgie bought a trailor, placed it on the same lot but further away from the corner. She moved into the trailer in 1990 and presently lives there. Harry & Georgie had 5 children:

- Burns married Doreen Winchester of Arlington. They had two children, Ann & Kelly.

Burns joined the Airforce in 1962. He served in Canada and rose to position of sergeant.

He died of cancer in 1974.

- Barbara married Louis Kierstead of St. John, and they have two children: Deborah and Deciah.

— Valerie married Gary MacKinnon of Lot 16 and now lives in St. Eleanors. They have two children: Lisa and Kari.
