Jackie Ellis married Winnie Enman, daughter of Murdock and Susie (Moore) Enman of Harmony Winnie was killed in a car accident.

His second marriage was to Joan Praught, daughter of John and Edith (Birch) Praught of Grand River, they had one son, and later divorced.
