1881 Census, page 54, family # 209 Angus (1821) and Elizabeth (1825) MacDonald had three children: -Roseann (1857) -Joseph C. (1863) -Edmund J. (1868) Edmund and Mary (1872) MacDonald had an adopted daughter and one son: -Matilda (1881) -Gabriel (1900) In 1907, Lewis Ramsay , at the age of 16 years, with $1000 earned in the lumber woods in Maine built this house. Lewis married Margaret Ramsay (1884), daughter of Albert and Elizabeth (MacFarlane) Ramsay of and had four children: -Ruth married Wyman Yeo of Harmony and had no children. Wyman now deceased. -Roy served in the Second World War, as an Aero-Engine Mechanic, serving in various locations in Canada and in Labrador , ( Labrador was not part of Canada during the War) then married Sadie MacLeod of Northam (see Victor and Audrey MacLeod) -Ina married Eric MacLennan of Victoria West . Eric now deceased. They had five children: Sylvia, Nancy, Judy, Heather and Robert. -Mildred married Clinton MacLeod of Northam (see Victor and Audrey MacLeod). Lewis and Margaret sold the property to Nathan Ramsay in 1919 and moved to Union Corner then to the present day home of Roy and Sadie Ramsay in Springhill . Nathan Ramsay then sold to Charlie Ramsay who sold to Reuben and Jeanetta Ellis in 1920. Reuben married Jeanetta Dyment (1892) daughter of David and Edith (Murray) Dyment of Springhill in 1917. Reuben was a farmer and a carpenter. They spent some time in the States, but returned to live in Northam . Reuben died in 1933 from complications of an accident in Maine. Jeanetta, with the help of her family, continued to farm for some years. Reuben and Jeanetta had six children: -Doris married Sidney Enman of Enmore . Their children: Jeanne and Robin. -Jean married Willard Moore of Enmore . (ref. to Bruce Moore ) 39
