Eldon MacArthur married Jean Rayner, who came to teach school in Northam. Jean is the daughter of Marshall and Dorothy (Gordon) Rayner of Greenmount. They lived on this property from 1950 until 1967. Eldon was a farmer and Jean taught school until her retirement a few years ago. In 1967, they sold their house to Ellis and Edith Paugh, who had lost their house by fire. Eldon and Jean moved along the road to the Ivan Linkletter house, where they lived for some

years, then moved to a home in Tyne Valley later moving to their present home. Eldon and Jean have two sons:

-Donald married Karen MacKinnon (ref. to Donald and Karen MacArthur)

-Douglas married Kathy Yeo (see below) Douglas MacArthur married Kathy Yeo, daughter of Herman and Lorna (Grigg) Yeo, of Harmony. Doug is a storeskeeper at Prince County Hospital. Kathy is a fisher-person. They have three children:

-Tammy married Kent Williams of Freeland, where they now live.

-Jody married Lloyd Kelly of Foxley River, where they now live.

-Kevin is involved in the lobster fishery
