About the Author

Sterling Stratton retired from the educational system in 1993. During his career he helcl the positions of teacher,

principal, guidance counsellor, curriculum consultant, and superintendent of education. His current emphasis in art is centered

on Pen (‘3 Inlz Images of Island Scenes. For the past 25 years he has produced pyrographic drawings on wood under the title Stratton Family Woodhurning’s.

As of November 2007, tour hoolzs of sketches on the topic of Island churches have been published. In atidition, he has completed two hoolzs that include illustrations and commentary on the following topics: (1) “The City of Charlottetown - Places

Of Historic Interest - In Commemoration of 150 Years of Incorporation" and (Z) “U.P.E.I. and St. Dunstan’s University Memories - The Transtormation of the Campus at the University of Prince Edwarti Island. - 1854.4 to 2006".

The author resides happily, with his editor/wife Gloria, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
