Andrew Lockhead, M.D., in the 46th year of his age. An obituary for Lockhead in the Protestant Mar. 19, 1864, informs the reader that Lochhead had successfully pursued a course in medical practice and that he had been serving temporarily as chaplain in Paisley Jail, intending to return to P.E.I.. (Protestant, Mar. 19, 1864) D. “At Georgetown on the 18th inst. of Inflammation of the lungs, Mary Ann Higgs, the beloved wife of Sergeant James Higgs, Jailer, Georgetown, in the 49th year of her age. The diseased was a native of Donegal, lreland, and resident for many years in this colony. where her generosity of disposition and benevolence of heart will cause her memory to be cherished affectionately by her widowed husband and sorrowing family, as well as by many friends outside the family.” (Protestant Apri123, 1864) D. “AtGeorgetown, P.E.I., on the 14th ult., Mr. Alex Robertson, saddler, age 42 years, a native of Merigomish, N .S."
