     in the First Kings County Militia, in the 
     
     efficiency of which as well as in the 
     
     whole Volunteer Movement he took a 
     
     deep interest. He was highly respected in 
     
     the community and died deeply regretted 
     
     not only by his sorrowing widow who 
     
     has been left with the care of seven small 
     
     children, but also by his near relatives
