D. “Entered into rest at Georgetown Royalty, on June 29th. David Kaye, M. D. in the 93rd year of his age." (Weeklv Examiner, June 23, 1893) [Longer obituaries on June 23rd and June 30th in the Weekly Examiner say that Kaye’s wife, Isabella, who was with him when he arms to Brudenell Point in 1836, in 1846 went to visit her family overseas and on her return voyage was a passenger on the Canopus which sailed and “was never more heard of." The obituaries identify Kaye as an avid amateur Iandscapcr, a member of the Church of England and very high in the Masonic Order.
