D." On Feb. 3, 1918, Michael Hessian, of Georgetown. He was born in County Mayo, Ireland, in 1818 and emigrated first to Newfoundland, then to Newburyport, Mass, where he married Miss Ellen Foley. He came to RBI. in the early 18605 and set up a mercantile business in Georgetown, building the brick building, now the Post Office. He leaves to mourn nieces and nephews, his wife having died about two years ago. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. D. P. Croken." (Watchman, Feb. 15, 1918)

On April 2, in France, Major Temple Macdonald, of the Canadian Artillery. “He received his fatal wound on Easter Sunday while driving in a motor car which was struck by a shell.” Born in 1874 he was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Archibald J. Macdonald, Georgetown, PEI. . He studied in Montreal, but then joined the firm of A. A. Macdonald & Sons. In 1912, he was elected by acclamation as the junior member of the Georgetown representation in the P.E.l. Legislature as a Consen'ative. He leaves to mourn a widow, nee Miss Maclnnes of Charlottetown, a widowed mother, three brothers, Howard & Allister, Georgetown and Glen in Winnipeg and three sisters, Cassie (Mrs. Judge Mclnemy in Saint John) Marion and Gladys in Georgetown. D. At Georgetown, Oct. 8111, Mrs. Cameron, nee Jane Ferguson, widow of the late Thomas Cameron, tailor, of Georgetown. She was born on the Ferguson farm near Georgetown ; her husband was a native of Churchvillc, NS, and died over twenty years ago. Left to mourn are two sons: Wallace in Vancouver, BC. and Ambrose “in another part of Canada” and one daughter, Miss Lizzie, at home. Another son, Ed“ 1rd, was drowned in the Behring Sea some years ago when all hands in a vessel went down. Funeral from St. David’s Presbyterian Church, Rev. Greenlees officiating.
