STORM HITS BOUGHTON ISLAND
A violent storm caused much damage on Boughton Island. The road being built to the mainland was washed out, fishing buildings collapsed and were swept away. Rocks were thrown up from the shore on to the fields, much to the alarm of the residents. (Patriot, Dec 1, 1938.)
