Edward Bell (1886-1889) Edward Bell was born in London, England in 1845 and, having lost his parents at a very early age, was brought up in Norfolk, England . At 17, he began to work in the church and became recommended for the ministry. Upon arriving in Hali¬ fax, Canada, he was sent to Chatham, New Brunswick to con¬ tinue probationary work until his ordination in 1877. He mar¬ ried Marianne Taylor from Norfolk, England . During the subsequent years of ministry, he served a number of churches within the New Brunswick and Confer¬ ence, Bideford being among them. His final charge was York , Prince Edward Island from which he sought a change in work because of failing health. In 1911, he became a member of a Charlottetown church. Robert W.J. Clements (1889-1892) In 1883, R.W. J. Clements was accepted on trial by the New Brunswick and Conference and was ordained in 1887. Two years later, he became minister on the from which he served the congregation at St . James in Lot 16 . J. A. Estey (1892-1895) J.A. Estey was born in Carleton County, New Brunswick . He studied at Mount Allison University and was ordained to the ministry in 1881. He served in some of the most remote areas of the New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island . He died of a stroke while still serving in that conference. C.H. Monaton (1895-1897) No information available. William Rogers Pepper (1897-1901) W.R. Pepper was born in Ashfield, , Eng¬ land in 1852. Having been ordained to the Wesleyan Method¬ ist Church, he was accepted to the New Brunswick / Conference upon his immigration to Canada in 1875.
