Levi Johnson Leard (1910-1914)

L.J. Leard was born in Tryon, Prince Edward Island on July 10, 1870. He received his education at Mount Allison University and was ordained by the New Brunswick / Prince Edward Island Conference in 1898. Early in his ministry, Rev. Leard received his BST from the Boston School of Theology. He served in several charges in the Maritimes including Bideford, Breadalbane, and Winsloe on Prince Edward Island. In 1936, he retired to Canning, Nova Scotia. Following the death of his wife, he, returned to Alberton, Prince Edward Island where he had lived as a child.

Hugh Stanley Young (1914-1918)

H. 5. Young was born at Oak Bay, New Brunswick in 1872. He was ordained in 1899 and served in the Bideford Circuit during his ministry. He retired in 1936 and lived in Oromocto, New Brunswick and Toronto, Ontario. He died in 1961.

Rev. William MacGregor (1821—1847)

Among the men who responded to Rev. Dr. James MacGregor’s call for missionaries was the Rev. William MacGregor. It is not known if the two men were related. Rev. William came to Pictou and worked for one year with Rev. Dr. James. With the untimely death of Rev. Andrew Nichol, the Richmond Bay and Bedeque Charge was left without a minister. On a recommendation fiom Rev. James, the charge issued a call to Rev. William MacGregor. Rev. James travelled with Rev. William to the Island to conduct his ordination October 11, 1821. Rev. William MacGregor was the fourth minister to be inducted on Prince Edward
