by age sixteen, I sensed His placing a call on my life for a future time. After several decades in business and education, I eventually accepted that call into ministry. I was presented as a candidate from Lot 16 United Church and ordained in Sackville, New Brunswick on May 25, 1986. During five years of parish ministry in Quebec, I found the need to develop skills in the area of counseling. Later, there came many oppor- tunities for this type of ministry, as well as invitations to con- duct seminars, retreats, and training workshops in nearly all denominations of the Christian Church in parts of the United States and throughout Eastern Canada.

In reminiscing about the great things in our heritage, we not only help future generations see the past but we must extend to them this challenge: to uphold the standards of Christian values, to walk in integrity and love, and to build wisely towards the fiiture. The greatest tribute one can make is to remember and participate in what has been accomplished for us in the past, and then pass along these “blessings” from one generation to the next.

Finally, I am above all so grateful to God for the ultimate sacrifice and greatest gift to me and to all mankind in His Son, Christjesus, without Whom there would be neither a history of heroic endeavours to record our stories of a vibrant and liv- ing faith to share. So, let’s tell them how we made it over the Jordan River and into the Promised Land! Let’s pass it on!
