They were Edward Ramsay , W. H. MacGregor , A. E. MacLean , Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gardiner , Miss Nettie Lyle , Miss C. Bearisto and William J. MacLean .2 The Bible used at the services was the one Robert Milligan had presented to the first church. The Bible had been given to Robert's father, John, by another son, Alexander, in Scodand in 1816. At the time of the sixtieth anniversary service, the members of session were William J. MacLean and James G. MacLean , father and son, and William H. MacGregor , clerk. The committee of stewards consisted of Seymour Thomp ¬ son, Glen Ramsay , Mrs. Percy Miller , Harold MacLean , Prushia H. Lyle , Ralph Monkley , Birchfield Yeo, H. Villiers Carr and Ernest Martin . Officers of The Ladies' Aid were, Isabel Monkley (presi¬ dent), and Mrs. W. H. MacGregor (secre¬ tary-treasurer). The Woman's Missionary Society executive was, Mrs. E. R. Woodside (president), Mrs. Percy Miller (vice-president), Mrs. Roy MacLean (secretary), and Mrs. William (Florence) Miller (treasurer). Mrs. Woodside was also superintendent of Mission Band . The Young People 's Union was divided into two groups, Central and Southwest . The executive of the Central group was William P. Miller (president), Robert Betton (vice-president), Edwin Bernard (secretary), Gladys Yeo (treasurer). The organist was Doris MacGregor . In Southwest the executive was, Helen Ford (president), Erskine Forbes (vice-presi¬ dent), Jennie MacLaurin , (secretary), and Arnold MacLean (treasurer). Dorothy MacLean ( Mrs. Irving Cotton ) was organist. Organist of the church was Mrs. Edward Lockhart .4 100th Anniversary Some of the persons who were involved with the sixtieth anni¬ versary also played a role in the 100th anniversary celebration of the church. On July 10, 1977 two services were scheduled. The minister at the time of the sixtieth anniversary, Rev. Dr. Russell Woodside , travelled from his church in Bathurst, New Bruns¬ wick to deliver the sermon at the morning service. The speaker at the seven-thirty evening service was the church minister Rev. Dr. William J . MacDougall . The soloists were Edith MacLean and Neil MacGregor .
