PEI, Alex, Lillian, and their four children, Brian, Dianne, Douglas, and Bev spent their summer vacations at Kildare. Shortly after moving to Belmont, Alex and Lillian trans- ferred their membership from St. Andrews United Church in Chateauguay to Lot 16 United Church where Rev. Donald MacPherson is the minister. They are active in all aspects of church life. Lillian is a UCW member, and serves as an elder and on the Board of Stewards. They have found the community to be most caring.
Brian and Adele Lewis
Brian and Adele were married in 1982 and moved to Belmont in 1993. They built their home by the shore of Malpeque Bay on property previously owned byJames and Grace MacLaurin. They have a daughter, Jaime Mont- gomery, a veterinarian assistant, living in Charlottetown.
Brian was born to Keith and Marjorie of Charlottetown. Adele was born to Fannie and Nelson Roberts of New Lon— don and Tracadie, PEI. Brian has been involved with law enforcement most of his professional career and Adele is a hairdresser by profession. Adele is a member of the Lot 16 United Church choir and UCW and Brian is on the Board of Stewards. Both Brian and Adele are members of the Lot 16 United Church.
Loekhart Family
The Lockhart family played an important role in the Lot 16 United Church contributing time and talents. Alexander Lockhart and his wife flannetflane MacKay were members of the Presbyterian Church in Summerside. Sometime fol- lowing the marriage of their daughter, Mary Jane, to Edmund Ramsay of Southwest Lot 16, the Lockharts began to attend the church in Lot 16.
As remembered by their grandson Elmer, Alexander and Mary Jane (Lockhart) Ramsay were very sedate, serious people. Alexander had a long white beard and his Sunday clothes were a serviceable black.
