ter of Loyalist, Donald Forbes. Wilfred and Helen are the par- ents of Darrell (Donna MacLaren) and Grace (James MacLauIin).

Violet and her husband were active members of Lot 16 United Church working on many committees. For many years, Violet served as leader for youth in the community. Wilfred, as well, was active in the church during his life. Helen continues to be active in the church serving on committees and as a regular member of UCVV, which she joined in 1962 at its inception. Helen lives in the family home which was built in 1937.

Their son, Darrell, has served in several capacities in church work and has been involved for the last forty years with the administration and care of the church’s cemetery and has been church auditor for many years. Darrell was first mar- ried to Marjorie Riley with whom he has a daughter, Darlene; he is now married to Donna MacLaren (see MacLaren His— tory) and their three daughters, Carol Lyle, Ellyn Lyle (Keith Flynn), and Julie (Greg) Compton, are members of Lot 16 United.Julie and Greg have two sons, Tanner and Alexander. Julie supervises the nursery class at Sunday School. Keith and Ellyn have a son, Dillon Zachary Lyle, the only seventh- generation child of the Lot 16 Lyles with that surname. Ellyn is a member of the Board of Stewards.

Grace married James MacLaurin from Belmont. James is the grandson of James MacLaurin (see MacLaren History). Grace and James’ daughter, Joan, married Arden Gardiner and they have one daughter, Kristin, who attends Sunday School at Lot 16 United.
