Pat Woodall Pat bought the Arnold Barrett house and moved to Belmont in 2001. She attends United. Pat, who was born in Saint John, NB, works at a local furniture store. She has lived at various locations across Canada and also in the and Louisiana, USA. Yeo Family Samuel Yeo , and his wife Nancy Prowse Yeo, were the first Yeos in Lot 16 . Samuel and Nancy were committed Method¬ ists and donated the land for the St . James Methodist Church and accompanying cemetery. Their children were Elizabeth who died at birth, James, William, John, Thomas, Angelina, Lawrence, Titus, Jabez, Richard, Lewis, George, Alice, and Jennie. Two of their sons, John and Jabez, became trustees of St . James Methodist Church. A third son, Richard (see Smith - Day History) represented Wellington in the . Of Samuel and Nancy's family, four remained in Lot 16 . John obtained land in Southwest opposite the Wendell Yeo property; Lawrence stayed on the home farm. Jabez bought a parcel of land opposite the present Com¬ munity Pasture, and Lewis moved to Belmont to the proper¬ ty now owned by James MacLaurin . Samuel and Nancy's son John married Harriet Ford ; they had a family of twelve: Rose, Lina, Samuel, (who lived and died in Massachusetts and is buried in the Methodist Cemetery), Thurza ( Henry Thompson ), Robert ( Daisy Monkley ), Sadie, Ethelwyn, George, Belle ( Charles Monkley , see Monkley History), Prowse, Gretha ( Sterling Tucker ), and Earle. Gretha also became a trustee of the Methodist Church in Lot 16 . Earle married Mary Forbes (see William Forbes History ) and setded in Southwest on the property now owned by his son, Wendell. Earle was a choir member for many years. Earle and Mary had four children: Vera, Gordon, Wendell, and John. Vera married Erskine Forbes (see Donald Forbes His ¬ tory). Wendell married Lois Barrett with whom he had two children, Wayne and Barbara. He later married Grace Mac - Pherson and they have two sons, Wade and Craig. Craig, who has served on the Board of Stewards, lives on the family farm 298 United Church and Its People
