six children, Joan Duffy, Lowell Murphy (deceased), Bernard Murphy, Regina Hennessey, Percy Murphy, and Muriel Mahar. After twelve years of operation, the store was discontinued when Percy acquired a permanent position on the railroad.

In 1968, he retired from the C.N.R. due to ill health. Percy died on January 11, 1975. His wife, Helen, is still living at the present time.
