GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Hello! My name is Megan MacIsaac, I am thirteen years old and in grade seven. I have interviewed my grandmother, Kay MacIsaac. My main topic was her greatest accomplishments in life. My grandmother was a teacher. She taught in a one room school house in Bear River North and Bear River South, St. Margaret’s, Souris Convent and Souris Elementary. Later in life, my grandmother taught in Rollo Bay and Fortune Consolidated. She had many great years there. She decided when she was fifty-six to retire from teaching.

Grammy decided to write a book considering all the extra time she had now that she was retired. It was called “FUN, FROLICS and FORERUNNERS”. In this book were stories from all kinds of real life people. After the success of this book, she decided to write another called, “HAPPINESS WITHOUT WEALTH”, which led to another called, “THE WAY IT WAS”. All three books were a great success. My grandmother is married and has six children, Kevin, Dianne, Patsy, Gary, Blair and Terry. Most of her children are married with families of their own. My grandmother now has seventeen loving grandchildren. Grammy lives in Bear River, and only up the road from me. She likes to take walks, bake and spend time with her family. I am very proud of my grammy. She taught me many great things I need to know in life. My favorite is baking. My grandmother has devoted her life to her family, and doing things for her community. She’s a one of a kind person.
